As Twilight fans know, Vanessa Carlton’s haunting song “Twilight” was released a few years before Stephenie Meyer’s first book was published. Yet they go together like peanut  butter and fluff or (you guessed it) Edward and Bella. So it was a natural for the characters in “Bit Players” to use Vanessa’s song in their vampire musical.
